Recap Berlin Neuroscience Meeting 2025
The Berlin Neuroscience Meeting 2025, held on October 16 and 17 at the GLS Campus Berlin, offered researchers and students an important platform to present and discuss the latest findings in neuroscience from Berlin and beyond. The meeting was attended by over 200 guests, with attendance remaining consistently high throughout the entire event.
The program featured several notable Einstein Lectures, including John F. Cryan’s talk on the microbiome’s influence on brain and behavior, Laura Manuelidis’ insights into prion proteins and innate immunity, Hermona Soreq’s presentation on the role of tRNA fragments in neurodegeneration, and Maciej Wojtkowski’s advances in non-invasive retinal imaging.

Scientific sessions covered a wide range of topics such as neuroimmunology, molecular mechanisms of neurodegeneration, synaptic plasticity, the challenges of big data in neuroimaging, and gene therapy approaches. Diverse contributions from both established and early-career researchers provided a well-rounded view of current neuroscience research.
Poster sessions on both days allowed many researchers, especially early career scientists, to present their work and engage in in-depth discussions. On Friday, poster prizes were awarded to the best contributions, and congratulations go to all the winners. Informal meetings during breaks and evening social events facilitated networking and collaboration within the neuroscience community.

The Berlin Neuroscience Meeting 2025 demonstrated the ongoing vitality and interdisciplinary nature of neuroscience research in Berlin.
Looking ahead, the next Berlin Neuroscience Meeting will take place on October 8 and 9, 2026, at the Langenbeck-Virchow-Haus, continuing the tradition of fostering collaborative scientific exchange.
This upcoming event promises to bring the community together again to share new findings and advance the field further.
